a series of public works to instigate, inspire and humanize agents of change, Self-Love and revolution
The archetype of Kali signifies the
wake-up call of
self-actualization.
Kali is a Hindu goddess that represents Time, Change, Power, Creation, Preservation, and Destruction. "Kali" can also mean "the black one" and the destroyer principally of evil forces. She is worshipped as the Divine Mother and Mother of the Universe.
There is that great proverb - that until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.

FOR THE LOVE
jaguar mary
is a video installation and documentary film by jaguar Mary. My previous work is known under the name Jocelyn Taylor. For the love represents a composite; a collective assembly of moving images of black life spanning from 1-100 years.
Each age builds the exquisite corpse, the year-to-year expression of mundane gestures that make up human existence bookended by the spectacular occurrence of new life and the inevitability of death.
This work is a testimony to the essential humanity of Black lives and corresponds to the momentum created by the Black Lives Matter movement.
